Bad Book

I just read a bad book. From the first chapter, I did not think it would be good, but I knew it would be comfortable. 5th in the series that I've read. A familiar world. A predictable plot, daring in its lack of twists or turns. Dogged in its adherence to the demands of a tried and tested narrative structure.

I wouldn't say I enjoyed it, but it was good bedtime reading. I've tucked away some elements of the world to steal for my own work. I got what I wanted from it. I'm glad it exists. Make bad art.
